Terminal Operator
ConfidentialTerminal Operator Location: Tampa, FL Starting Pay: $ 27 per hour + Overtime Opportunities We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Terminal Operator to join our terminal operations team in Tampa. This role is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient handling, transfer, storage, and movement of sulfuric acid and related materials within the terminal. What You'll Do As a Terminal Operator, you'll play a key role in keeping our terminal running safely, efficiently, and reliably. You'll work both independently and as part of a team to support the movement and storage of sulfuric acid, monitor terminal operations, perform inspections, and ensure equipment and systems are operating properly. No two days are exactly alike. You may be loading railcars or trucks, assisting with vessel discharge operations, troubleshooting operational issues, conducting inspections, or completing important documentation that keeps our operation moving smoothly. What We're Looking For You thrive in a hands-on environment where safety, teamwork, and attention to detail matter. You bring experience from industrial, manufacturing, terminal, logistics, chemical, or related operations and enjoy solving problems, learning new skills, and being part of a team that keeps essential operations moving. Experience with rail operations, vessel discharge, hazardous materials, or computerized operating systems is a plus, but we're primarily looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a willingness to learn. The successful candidate must be willing and able to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work safely in an industrial environment. Candidates must also possess, or be eligible to obtain, a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card. This role requires working outdoors, climbing ladders and stairs, as well as lifting up to 50 pounds. The position also requires occasional weekend and holiday work, as well as participation in an alternating on-call schedule to support terminal operations. Work Environment This position is primarily field based, with approximately 70-80% of work performed outdoors within terminal and port environments and 20-30% performed in an office setting.
