JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the Terminal Operations Manager, the Duty Manager supports the daily operation of the airport terminal, parking facilities, and ground transportation programs. This position helps ensure safe, secure, efficient, and customer-focused airport operations through coordination with airlines, tenants, regulatory agencies, service providers, and Airport Authority departments. The position collaborates with airport stakeholders, including airlines, TSA, concessionaires, and service providers, to enhance passenger experience, implement service improvement initiatives, and support the achievement of organizational goals through industry best practices and operational excellence. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership and Customer Experience Provides day-to-day leadership to promote accountability, high performance, and exceptional customer service while assisting with staff oversight, facility operations, regulatory compliance, customer service initiatives, and emergency response activities. Assists Terminal Manager with Personnel Management and Staff Development. Terminal and Operational Management Assist in overseeing daily terminal operations to ensure efficient and effective customer service delivery. Conducts routine inspections of terminal facilities, concession areas, passenger amenities, information displays, signage, and public areas; identifies deficiencies and coordinates corrective actions as needed. Ensures Terminal Operations and Custodial staffing levels are aligned with daily airline operating schedules and passenger activity. Maintains accurate and up-to-date information on the Flight Information Display System (FIDS). Coordinates with airport stakeholders to resolve terminal, parking, and passenger service issues in a timely and effective manner. Assists Terminal Manager with administrative and special projects. Assists Terminal Manager with Regulatory Compliance, Safety and Security requirements. Facilities and Asset Coordination Coordinates with Facilities, Terminal Operations, and Custodial staff to maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and functionality of terminal, rental car, and parking facilities. Coordinates with appropriate Airport Authority departments on terminal-related projects, including construction, maintenance, renovations, relocations, and signage improvements. Assists in identifying operational improvements and facility enhancement opportunities that support airport objectives and customer satisfaction. Ground Transportation and Parking Operations Plans, organizes, and manages airport ground transportation services, including shuttle operations, taxi services, transportation network companies, and other commercial vehicle activities. Serves as a liaison with rental car companies and ground transportation providers to ensure efficient operations and effective communication. Coordinates with Terminal Operations and Parking personnel to maintain efficient parking operations, including gate systems, customer service functions, and revenue monitoring.
