Terminal Operations Coordinator – Indianapolis, IN Autobahn USA Freightlines Ltd. is looking for an experienced, dependable, and hands-on Terminal Operations Coordinator to support our Indiana trucking operations. This is an operations-focused position for someone who can work closely with drivers, dispatch, recruiting, maintenance, customers, and management to keep the terminal running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Support and coordinate daily terminal operations. Maintain strong relationships with company drivers and owner-operators . Assist with driver recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention . Coordinate cross-docking, freight transfers, inbound/outbound freight, and trailer movements . Support drivers with dispatch, paperwork, equipment, scheduling, and operational issues. Coordinate truck/trailer breakdowns, repairs, and maintenance when required. Work closely with Dispatch, Safety, Maintenance, Recruiting, Claims, and management. Monitor yard activity and help maintain proper truck and trailer organization. Assist with customer, warehouse, vendor, and carrier communication. Help resolve missed pickups, delivery issues, freight problems, and other operational concerns. Ensure urgent terminal and driver issues are escalated and resolved promptly. Maintain operational records, reports, and documentation. Support safety and compliance expectations at the terminal. Be available to respond to urgent operational matters seven days a week , including occasional evenings and weekends. Take ownership of terminal issues and follow them through to resolution. Qualifications Previous experience in trucking, transportation, dispatch, terminal operations, cross-docking, warehouse operations, or fleet management is preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, be comfortable working directly with truck drivers, be organized and computer-literate, and be capable of handling multiple operational priorities independently. Experience with DOT/HOS requirements, ELD/Samsara, driver recruiting, dispatch, and truck/trailer maintenance coordination is an asset.
