Terminal Manager

Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Terminal Manager to lead and optimize all operations within our Intermodal terminal. This role involves overseeing transportation, safety, chassis maintenance, and uphold safety standards. We just got a new yard and office and are looking to grow in the Charleston market to match our other thriving drayage terminals. We are currently a small terminal with 8-10 trucks so growth is a top priority. This is a unique opportunity to be in charge of an operation with no micromanaging. The position has endless growth possibilities. Our company provides our staff and owner operators any and all resources needed to succeed. Duties Lead the planning and execution of the daily schedule using spreadsheets and our TMS. Manage our own chassis fleet to ensure we are utilizing our assets daily. Build great relationships with our owner-operators to create a positive culture. Monitor profit & loss statements to control costs and find the right business opportunities. Bring in new business to ensure our drivers are working every day. Requirements Proven experience supervising or managing a trucking operation General knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and communication purposes. Familiarity with fleet management, freight operations, shipping & receiving procedures, etc...
