Terminal Manager

COMPENSATION $80,000–$95,000 annually Build Your Career in Intermodal Logistics RoadOne IntermodaLogistics is seeking an experienced, results-driven Terminal Manager to lead daily terminal operations, develop high-performing teams, and drive operational and financial success. You’ll oversee terminal performance, including staff and drivers, customer service, expenses, and profitability. We’re looking for a hands-on leader who takes ownership of results and balances operational efficiency, financial performance, and strong relationships. What You’ll Do · Lead Terminal Operations: Oversee dispatch, driver operations, customer service, yard operations, and administrative activities. · Own Financial Performance: Manage terminal P&L, budgets, expenses, revenue, and profitability. · Develop and Lead Teams: Supervise, coach, and develop staff while fostering accountability, teamwork, safety, and performance. · Manage Driver Relationships: Build rapport, address concerns, support retention, and ensure drivers have needed resources. · Drive Operational Excellence: Improve productivity, reduce costs, optimize equipment utilization, and ensure on-time service. · Deliver Customer Service: Maintain relationships, resolve escalations, and meet customer KPIs and service expectations. · Support Business Growth: Identify opportunities, develop customer relationships, quote rates, and support revenue growth. · Ensure Safety and Compliance: Maintain DOT compliance and adherence to company safety requirements. · Manage Terminal Resources: Oversee terminal facilities, yard organization, equipment, and vendor relationships. · Monitor Performance: Review operational and financial reports and take action to improve results. · Collaborate Across Locations: Partner with regional leaders and other terminals to coordinate freight and resolve issues. What We’re Looking For · 3–5 years of management experience, preferably in transportation, intermodal logistics, drayage, or terminal operations. · Transportation, intermodal, or logistics industry experience required. · Proven ability to lead teams and drive accountability. · Experience managing budgets, expenses, and P&L performance. · Understanding of dispatch, driver management, customer service, and transportation safety. · Ability to analyze reports and make informed business decisions. · Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills. · Strong problem-solving skills and quick decision-making under pressure. · Ability to work independently and adapt to changing operational needs. · Bachelor’s degree preferred.
