What You'll Do Oversee and coordinate daily terminal and transportation operations Dispatch drivers and manage delivery schedules and freight movement Build strong working relationships with drivers while addressing operational concerns and support needs Monitor and manage Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to optimize routing and ensure on-time deliveries Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers regarding route changes, operational updates, and safety concerns Conduct regular safety and compliance meetings to reinforce company policies and DOT regulations Support customer service efforts by resolving shipping and delivery issues Maintain accurate records related to shipments, driver schedules, and compliance documentation Coordinate fleet maintenance and repairs to ensure equipment remains safe and operational Communicate operational updates, challenges, and improvement opportunities with leadership Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and transportation regulations Support additional operational projects and responsibilities as assigned This is a full-time position with a complete benefits package, including: Health Insurance with HSA/FSA Options Company Paid Life Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan + Company Match Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidays Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Optional Supplemental Coverage Available: Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Accident/Hospital Confinement Insurance, Critical Illness/Cancer Insurance Job Requirements: We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused transportation professional with experience in dispatch, fleet operations, or terminal management. Ideal candidates have: Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety standards Experience with dispatching, routing, and fleet management preferred CDL preferred, but not required Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and support team members Ability to work collaboratively with drivers, operations staff, and external partners Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities High attention to detail and commitment to operational efficiency and compliance Ability to thrive in a fast-paced transportation environment Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required Degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation, or related field preferred Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, or terminal operations required Work Environment & Physical Requirements This position is performed in an office and transportation operations environment, where employees work with dispatch systems, phones, and communication tools throughout the day. The role requires extended periods of sitting or standing, along with continuous interaction with drivers, customers, and operations staff. Employees must be able to maintain focus and accuracy in a fast-paced setting, with occasional lifting or carrying of up to 25 pounds and the ability to travel as needed.
