Candidates must have a doctoral degree in materials science and engineering , or a closely related field, or STEM education . Candidates must have an exceptional track record of engineering education research ; l ead a program of externally funded, inter nationally recognized research in engineering education; h ave demonstrated ability to teach courses in the core materials science curriculum ; demonstrated commitment to mentorship and advising of undergraduate and graduate students.
