The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Notre Dame expects to fill a tenure-track position in materials chemistry, particularly at the interface between physical and inorganic chemistry. Applicants at all ranks (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Full Professor) will be considered. All candidates will be expected to contribute to the University's research, teaching, and service missions. Qualifications Applicants at the entry level must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. or equivalent degree; or have completed all but dissertation in Chemistry or a closely related field. Candidates at the advanced level must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Chemistry or a closely related field. Application Instructions Candidates will provide a cover letter, curriculum vitae, detailed research plan, and a statement of teaching philosophy and interests. Assistant professor-level applicants should also arrange for at least three letters of recommendation. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis but should be received by September 30, 2026 , for full consideration.
