Job Description: Warehouse Clerk 

Department: Warehouse Operations / Mail-Order Pharmacy
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor or Facilities Manager
Schedule: Part-Time (15–25 hours per week)

Position Summary

The Part-Time Maintenance Clerk supports the maintenance and facilities team in a warehouse and mail-order pharmacy environment, ensuring equipment, and facility operations run smoothly. while also assisting with light maintenance tasks as needed.

Requirements

 Key Responsibilities Administrative & Coordination Tasks

  • Receive, log, and track work orders related to warehouse equipment, conveyor systems, automation devices, and facility repairs.
  • Prioritize and route work orders to maintenance technicians based on urgency and operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate records for preventive maintenance on pharmacy automation, packaging machines, HVAC systems, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Ensure documentation meets pharmacy and regulatory requirements (equipment logs, calibration records, safety checklists).
  • Coordinate with external vendors for repairs, calibrations, installations, and inspections.
  • Prepare purchase requests, report, and maintain organized filing systems.
  • Communicate with warehouse, pharmacy operations, and quality teams regarding maintenance updates.

Hands-On Light Maintenance Tasks

  • Replace doorknobs and basic hardware.
  • Build or repair shipping tables.
  • Assemble office or warehouse furniture.
  • Perform touch-up or small-scale painting.
  • Conduct general facility maintenance as directed.
  • Support maintenance technicians with simple tasks during larger repairs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a warehouse, distribution, maintenance, or pharmacy environment preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and light maintenance tasks (e.g., assembling furniture, minor repairs).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; CMMS experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with GMP, safety standards, or pharmacy compliance is helpful.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 to 80  lbs occasionally (parts, tools, small equipment).
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, and move throughout the warehouse and facility.
  • Comfortable working around conveyors, packaging machinery, and warehouse equipment.

Work Environment

  • Mix of office work and warehouse-floor activity.
  • Fast-paced, regulated mail-order pharmacy environment.
  • Part-time schedule with potential for additional hours during high-volume periods.
