Temporary -Off-Road Dump Truck Driver / Laborer & Roller Operator
ACPLM, IncWe are seeking experienced construction and heavy equipment personnel for a temporary project in the Jacksonville area. We currently have openings for: End Dump Truck Driver / Construction Laborer- $20.00 to $24.00 Skilled Roller Operator- $20.00 to $25.00 Pay based on experience This project is expected to last approximately 5-6 months , with the possibility of an extension. The work will involve large-scale material screening, placement, compaction, and hauling. Project Scope The construction crew will be involved in: Screening material Placing and spreading screened material Compacting materials Loading and hauling unsuitable materials Site preparation and dirt work Safely operating heavy construction equipment Performing daily equipment inspections Maintaining a safe and organized work area Following all company and job-site safety procedures Position 1: End Dump Truck Driver / Laborer The End Dump Truck Driver/Laborer will safely operate an end dump truck to haul and place materials while also assisting the construction crew with general labor and site work as needed. Responsibilities Safely operate an end dump truck on an active construction site Load, transport, and dump materials as directed Perform daily truck and equipment inspections Assist with material placement, cleanup, and general site work Perform general construction labor as needed Work safely around heavy equipment and other trucks Follow directions from the Superintendent and/or Supervisor Maintain a clean and safe work area Follow all company and job-site safety procedures Qualifications Previous experience operating an end dump truck Experience in heavy construction, site work, dirt work, or material hauling Ability to perform physical construction labor when needed Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and an active construction crew Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong commitment to job-site safety Reliable attendance and dependable transportation Position 2: Skilled Roller Operator The Roller Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a dirt roller to compact screened and placed materials as part of the site-work operation. Responsibilities Safely and efficiently operate a dirt roller Compact soil and other construction materials according to project requirements Perform rolling and compaction as directed by the Superintendent or Supervisor Work around dump trucks, loaders, excavators, and other heavy equipment Monitor material conditions and communicate with the crew regarding compaction Perform daily equipment inspections before operating the roller Identify and report equipment problems or unsafe conditions Maintain a safe and organized work area Assist with general construction work when needed Follow all company and job-site safety procedures Qualifications 2–3+ years of hands-on roller operating experience preferred Recent experience operating a dirt roller or similar compaction equipment Experience with soil, aggregate, or other construction material compaction Previous heavy construction, site work, or dirt work experience Ability to safely operate equipment around an active construction crew Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong commitment to job-site safety Reliable attendance and dependable transportation What We're Looking For We are looking for dependable, safety-conscious construction professionals who: Have previous heavy construction or site-work experience Have demonstrated experience operating the equipment required for their position Can safely work around heavy equipment and an active construction crew Are willing to assist with general construction work when needed Can work outdoors in varying weather conditions Have reliable attendance and dependable transportation Follow instructions and company safety procedures Work well as part of a team Take pride in doing quality work safely and efficiently Why Join Us?
