Role Description: The Temporary Inventory Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting the receipt, storage, movement, issuance, and tracking of materials, parts, supplies, and company assets. The Inventory Clerk will follow established inventory-control procedures for incoming and outgoing materials, maintain accurate inventory information within the company’s inventory management and ERP systems, and assist with identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies. The Inventory Clerk will utilize inventory management software to maintain and track assets. This position works closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Production, Engineering, and other departments to ensure materials are properly received, identified, stored, tracked, and available when needed. Role Responsibilities: Receive incoming materials, parts, supplies, and equipment and verify quantities against purchase orders, packing slips, and other receiving documentation Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain Maintain detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, at sites, and in the factory Label, organize, stock, and store materials in assigned inventory locations Understand and utilize supply chain, purchasing, and billing workflows Monitor established minimum and maximum inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to the appropriate Supply Chain or Purchasing personnel Analyze current inventories and procedures; suggest improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain Utilize policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; help identify subsequent changes to processes Identify optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution Assess the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; make recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials Collaborate with the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials Monitor the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identify and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with other department Perform other inventory, warehouse, shipping, receiving, and material-handling duties as assigned Role Requirements: 2+ years’ experience in Inventory, warehousing, shipping and receiving, material handling, kitting, and/or related supply chain activities Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and cross-department communication skills High level of attention to detail and safety awareness Experience with QuickBooks online (QBO) Understanding of how ERP systems operate Proficient with Microsoft Office tools Ability to read and understand purchase orders, pac…
