(TEMPORARY FULL - TIME(ENVIRONMENTAL SUPPORT - NON PATIENT TRANSPORTATION

JOB DESCRIPTION Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences requires a full-time Environmental Support Worker to perform a variety of routine manual tasks related to the delivery and pick up of goods and services throughout the hospital. Requirements: Completion of grade 12 or recognized equivalent Must have knowledge of relevant legislation i.e. WHMIS; familiarity & knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act Ability to understand oral and written instructions efficiently Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of the team. Ability to perform the physical demands of the position – walk for extended periods; pushing, pulling and lifting moderately heavy loads (30 to 50lbs); bending and stretching; climbing on & off equipment. Ability to operate and maintain equipment Good communication and interpersonal skills – ability to carry out office procedures such as answering the phone, dispatching duties, scheduling pick-up and delivery services, working knowledge of MS Office. Proven good attendance record with the capability of maintaining this same standard.
