Temporary Delivery Driver

Vacation Coverage Position: November 2nd - November 20th Job Summary We are seeking a dependable Temporary Delivery Driver to transport and deliver food products safely and on schedule. This hands-on role includes picking, loading and unloading items, moving materials between the warehouse and delivery locations, and providing courteous service to customers. The position is temporary and paid. Applicants should be prepared for physical work, including heavy lifting (up to 40lbs per case, repeatedly) , and may need to support warehouse tasks between deliveries. We primarily serve the Chinese and broader Asian community. Ability to communicate in Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) is a plus. Responsibilities Pick orders from warehouse & packaging department Load, secure, transport, and unload products while taking care to prevent damage. Move materials and deliveries safely, using appropriate technique and following handling procedures. Complete assigned delivery routes and communicate promptly about delays, access issues, or delivery concerns. Provide professional customer service at delivery locations and respond courteously to customer questions. Assist with warehouse duties, such as organizing products, preparing orders, and maintaining a clean work area. Follow applicable traffic laws, safe driving practices, and company procedures for vehicle inspections and delivery documentation. Skills Class 5 valid driver’s license and a safe driving record; commercial driving experience is a plus. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach. Comfortable and patient with communicating with people from different backgrounds and languages Ability to perform moving and material-handling tasks, including repeated heavy lifting , with or without reasonable accommodation. Warehouse experience is preferred. Forklift experience or certification is a plus; willingness to follow training and safety requirements is essential. Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently while coordinating with the packaging/production team.
