Technical Project Assistant (Electrical & Admin)
Hanna Infrastructure LtdHanna Infrastructure Ltd. is looking for a technically capable, highly organized assistant to work directly with our Senior Project Manager. This position combines hands-on electrical/shop work with project coordination and administration. Time at each location depends on project requirements. Responsibilities Assist with BESS assembly, wiring, electrical panels, controls, testing, and troubleshooting under appropriate supervision. Read electrical and civil drawings, specifications, and technical manuals; identify missing information and prepare clarification requests. Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, correspondence, schedules, project records, and close-out documents. Obtain quotations, support purchasing, follow up with suppliers, and track orders and deliveries. Receive and inspect equipment, maintain material records, and follow up on missing or incorrect items. Keep project files, trackers, and outstanding actions organized. Required Qualifications Hands-on electrical experience in Canada and practical knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code. Experience with BESS, controls, custom electrical systems, or related equipment. Ability to understand electrical single-line diagrams, schematics, and civil/construction drawings. Experience with project documentation, procurement, material tracking, and supplier follow-up. Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook; professional working proficiency in Bluebeam Revu and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Excellent professional English, both written and spoken. Clear correspondence and confident communication are essential. Strong organization, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through. Valid BC driver’s licence and reliable transportation to both locations. Legal authorization to work in Canada. No visa sponsorship is available. Electrical apprenticeship or technical studies, solar experience, and experience on government or infrastructure projects are assets.
