$0.28 per mile is for starting and experienced drivers is $0.30 per mile.
Responsibilities
• Safely operate commercial trucks over long-distance routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and issues
• Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle reliability
• Assist with freight handling, securing loads, and ensuring cargo integrity during transit
• Follow company policies for safety, hours of service, and transportation regulations
• Operate a semi-truck safely and efficiently as part of a team driving unit
• Transport freight between BC, Manitoba, and Ontario
• Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate logs (ELD compliant)
• 80%-90% pin to pin work
Requirements
• Valid Class 1 Driver’s License (Canada)
• Minimum 1 year of verified Class 1 driving experience
• Clean driving abstract (no major violations)
• Criminal record check required
• Must be medically fit to drive (able to pass DOT medical if required)
• Experience with long-haul and winter driving conditions preferred
• Ability to work as part of a team (2 drivers)
• Strong understanding of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations
• Must comply with drug test if asked.
• Must be Canadian, PR or Open Work Permit
