Job Description Job Description Position Summary: Perform administrative and technical work involved in processing call-in orders, outgoing and incoming shipments. Pay: $30.00 Shift: Morning Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Interfaces and coordinates with shipping, receiving, procurement, sales, production, and design lab to ensure timely delivery of product Responsible for managing all outbound shipments, including preparation of sequentially numbered paperwork in system, management of packaging materials inventories, packaging of product to be shipped, and arrangement of transportation services. UPS/FedEx software is to be used effectively and understood for summary reporting on request. Generates documentation required by outgoing loads, including transfer of all original documents, to purchasing supervisor for distribution. Inputs call-in orders as needed/necessary. Notifies and/or delivers incoming product to end user. Assures shipping documentation is accurately prepared and submitted. Prepares reports and maintains files as needed/necessary Participate in cycle count process May train, mentor, and transfer job knowledge to team. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Practice personal safety and follow all safety practices and procedures. Comply with all policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to management. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Requirements: Knowledge of shipping, receiving and production in a manufacturing environment preferred A minimum of one year direct or related experience, an ability to deal with internal and external customers and proficiency with PC related software is required Ability to safely use shipping equipment as required. Includes but not limited to scales, stretch wrap benders, pallet jacks and forklift. Demonstrate working knowledge of duties such as transportation scheduling, quality control, receiving, packing, shipping, and inventory management. Continuous Learning Experience working in a team environment Requires attention to detail and being thorough in completing work tasks Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers Ability to print and speak simple sentences Ability to follow visual and oral instructions Physical Requirements: Climbs on and off forklifts, stands, reaches, pushes, and pulls materials The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
