Role Description Emergency Parts Logistics (EPL) is seeking a Team Lead – Operations to lead and support our day-shift Operations team. Reporting to the Manager, Operations, this hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing time-critical shipments, supporting Operators with escalations and routing decisions, maintaining service standards, and ensuring customers receive timely and accurate communication. The Team Lead will also provide coaching and guidance to the team while stepping into operational activities when required. Key Responsibilities Lead and support the day-shift Operations team and coordinate daily workload and coverage. Act as the first point of escalation for operational and customer-related issues. Monitor active AOG and time-critical shipments to ensure timely routing, tracking, updates, and delivery. Support Operators with routing decisions, including air, trucking, courier, OBC, NFO, and other expedited solutions. Ensure jobs, costs, shipment statuses, operational notes, and documentation are accurately maintained in the TMS and OneDrive. Ensure customers receive proactive updates regarding pickups, routings, flights, delays, customs, ETAs, and deliveries. Review quotations and operational costs when required. Ensure effective shift handovers and follow-up on outstanding shipments and PODs. Provide coaching, training, and day-to-day guidance to Operators and support the onboarding of new employees. Ensure EPL SOPs and customer-specific requirements are followed. Identify service failures, recurring operational issues, or performance concerns and escalate them to the Manager, Operations. Support the development and improvement of operational processes and SOPs. Maintain strong relationships with customers, agents, airlines, carriers, warehouses, customs brokers, and other service providers. Step into an Operator role when required to support urgent shipments or operational demands. Perform other duties, operational tasks, and special projects as assigned. Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, aviation logistics, time-critical logistics, or a related field. Previous Team Lead, Senior Operator, Shift Lead, or similar leadership experience is required. Experience coordinating time-critical, expedited, cross-border, or international shipments. Experience using a Transportation Management System (TMS). Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. Location & Work Schedule: This is a full-time, on-site position based at EPL’s head office, Monday to Friday.
