Overview Join our vibrant team as a Tea & Spice Sales Associate, where your enthusiasm for flavorful products and exceptional customer service will shine! In this engaging role, you will be the face of our specialty tea and spice shop, guiding customers through a rich selection of aromatic teas and vibrant spices. Your energy and passion will inspire customers to explore new flavors, while your personality help create memorable shopping experiences. Hiring seasonal/part-time help, Monday- Friday, open availability is preferred. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to enhance their shopping experience Assist customers with selecting products based on their preferences and needs, upselling where appropriate Maintain attractive merchandise displays through effective merchandising and stock replenishment Refilling the bagged consumables on the floor as they are sold Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling Uphold excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or taking orders remotely, ensuring clear communication Support store cleanliness and organization to create an inviting and safe environment for shoppers This is a food establishment with allergens. Maintaining strict cleanliness is a must Skills Experience preferred with POS systems, cashiering, and retail sales processes Supervising experience preferred, with the ability to guide team members when needed Proven record of accountability, job-stability, and relieable Works well under pressure and able to stand for full shift Strong communication, including inter-personal skills and eye-contact is a must Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory management Skilled in merchandising is a plus Works well alone and/or with a team Excellent phone etiquette coupled with customer service expertise to handle inquiries professionally Past barista experience a plus as we do have a Tea Bar Demonstrated upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction.
