Your work will directly impact service reliability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to make quick decisions in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities of a Taxi Routing Specialist: Trip Coordination & Route Management Assign transportation requests to available drivers based on service needs and availability. Monitor active trips and adjust assignments as conditions change. Optimize driver utilization to maximize efficiency and service levels. Manage schedule changes, service interruptions, and last-minute requests. Ensure transportation services are delivered according to established standards. Driver Support & Communication Serve as a primary point of contact for drivers throughout their shifts. Communicate trip information, updates, and service changes. Provide guidance and support when operational issues arise. Assist drivers with routing questions and trip-related concerns. Maintain professional and productive relationships with transportation teams. Operational Monitoring Track trip progress and service performance throughout the day. Identify potential service delays or coverage gaps before they impact customers. Coordinate solutions to maintain on-time performance. Monitor service demand and adjust resources as needed. Support day-to-day operational efficiency across the transportation network. Customer Service Coordination Work closely with customer support and operations teams to address service concerns. Assist with resolving transportation issues in a timely manner. Help ensure customers receive accurate trip information and dependable service. Maintain a customer-focused approach when addressing operational challenges. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate records of trip assignments, route activity, and operational updates. Document service disruptions, schedule modifications, and driver communications. Prepare operational reports and activity summaries as needed. Ensure all dispatch and routing information is accurately recorded. Support leadership with data and operational insights. Qualifications of a Taxi Routing Specialist: Required High School Diploma or GED. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
