Position Overview RSK is seeking a Tariff Recovery Manager to lead client tariff recovery projects and oversee the work of Tariff Recovery Specialists. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end recovery process, including client intake, data collection, customs entry review, vendor and supplier invoice analysis, tariff burden calculations, vendor outreach, recovery strategy, and client reporting. The ideal candidate has strong experience in trade compliance, customs, tariff analysis, import operations, vendor recovery, or related advisory work. This person should be comfortable leading a small team, working directly with clients, managing vendor communications, and building repeatable processes that support high-quality recovery outcomes. Key Responsibilities Lead RSK’s tariff recovery practice, including project execution, team oversight, client communications, and recovery strategy. Manage and support Tariff Recovery Specialists responsible for data loading, invoice review, vendor outreach, documentation tracking, and refund follow-up. Work directly with clients to understand import activity, vendor relationships, purchasing practices, tariff exposure, and recovery objectives. Oversee the collection, organization, and review of customs entry data, ACE/CAPE records, vendor invoices, supplier invoices, purchase records, and tariff-related documentation. Develop and maintain workflows for loading client, vendor, supplier, customs, and invoice data into RSK systems for analysis. Review and validate analyses used to determine tariff burden, tariff pass-through, overcharges, and potential recovery opportunities. Establish vendor outreach strategies to request documentation, confirm tariff charges, and pursue refunds, credits, or other recoveries for tariffs assessed or passed through to clients. Supervise tracking of vendor responses, documentation gaps, recovery status, refund progress, and client deliverables. Prepare and present client-facing summaries of findings, recovery opportunities, documentation needs, and recommended next steps. Coordinate with internal RSK team members to improve systems, templates, reporting, workflows, and quality control procedures. Ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a manner consistent with client expectations and confidentiality requirements. Help identify opportunities to expand the tariff recovery practice, improve service offerings, and strengthen client outcomes. Qualifications Experience in trade compliance, customs brokerage, import operations, tariff analysis, duty recovery, accounts payable recovery, supply chain, logistics, or related consulting/advisory work. Strong understanding of U.S. customs entry data, vendor invoices, supplier invoices, tariff charges, duty payments, and import documentation. Familiarity with ACE/CAPE, customs entry systems, HTS classifications, duties, tariffs, and import-related charges. Ability to lead a small team, assign work, review results, and manage deadlines across multiple client projects. Strong analytical skills and ability to reconcile data across customs records, invoices, vendor documentation, and client purchasing records. Strong Excel and data management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing reporting and professional vendor correspondence.
