Taproom Manager

Island Park Brewing Title: Taproom Manager Hours: 24-32 hrs/week + Beertender shifts when needed Purpose of the Position The Taproom Manager position is designed to strengthen day-to-day front-of-house operations while creating new revenue opportunities for Island Park Brewing. The role would consolidate a number of responsibilities that are currently handled by ownership and other employees, allowing ownership to spend more time focused on brewing, financial management, operations, and long-term company growth. The position would combine taproom management, events, marketing, and administrative support. Taproom Management The Taproom Manager would oversee the overall operation of the front of house, including: ● Managing and creating beertender schedules ● Finding coverage and filling in when employees cannot work ● Developing and documenting operational procedures ● Hiring and Training new staff ● Inventory Management: Merchandise, Snacks, Drinks, Cocktails Events A major value-added component of the position would be developing events and additional revenue streams. Responsibilities would include: ● Actively sourcing private event opportunities ● Booking and managing private parties and functions at the brewery ● Creating opportunities to utilize the brewery on days or times it would otherwise be closed ● Booking and coordinating Food trucks and Live Music The goal would be for the position to generate additional revenue rather than functioning solely as an operational expense. Marketing The Taproom Manager would also help develop and communicate the Island Park Brewing brand. Responsibilities include: ● Co - Manage Island Park Brewing's social media accounts ● Creating regular social media content including weekly calendar posts. ● Promoting events, beer releases, music, and food trucks ● Contributing creative ideas to the Island Park brand ● Assisting with broader brand development as their interests and abilities grow Creativity would be an important part of the position, with room for the employee to contribute their own ideas while remaining consistent with the established Island Park Brewing brand. Overall Value to Island Park Brewing This position is intended to be more than a traditional taproom manager. The goal is to create a person who can take ownership of the front-of-house side of Island Park Brewing while simultaneously helping grow revenue, events, marketing, and the brand. By combining responsibilities currently spread among ownership and other employees, the position could improve operational efficiency, create new revenue streams, strengthen the Island Park brand, and give ownership more time to focus on the areas of the business where their time creates the greatest value.
