Tanker Truck Driver

The CLASS A DRIVER carries FOOD PRODUCTS via TRACTOR ROAD TANKER and TRACTOR TRAILER including OUT-OF-STATE OVERNIGHT destinations to Arizona and Nevada. Driver maintains accurate counts and records deliveries/ pick-ups on appropriate forms. Driver loads/ unloads truck on route using tank pump or electric pallet jack. Driver performs pre, during, and post trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies, and ensuring all safety items are in good working order. Driver maintains neat, clean, and professional personal and vehicle appearance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: FOOD GRADE ROAD TANKER ENDORSEMENT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Must know how to drive Manual transmission. Ensures all rules and methods for SAFETY STRICTLY OBSERVED Practices FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY in all aspects of employment Verifies counts, shipment, DOT, and vehicle documents are correctly completed Maintains good contact with dispatch, company, customers, and suppliers Understands position details: safety, training, operations, maintenance, logs, etc. Bilingual/Spanish desired, not required Reads and comprehends material safety data sheets, equipment manuals, etc. Completes forms and occasionally writes routine reports Accurately completes paperwork: sign, initial, date, add, subtract, multiply, divide. Manages to work independently to meet deadlines Protects company assets and confidentiality Works with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds Operates in a drug-free workplace Accommodates overtime needs of the business as required OVERNIGHT OUT-OF-STATE STAYS AS REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: FOOD GRADE ROAD TANKER ENDORSEMENT REQUIRED Clean Class A CDL and maintained clean CDL Tanker Endorsement required before hire date and maintained current 2 years’ experience within the last 4 years Minimum 4 years interstate CDL driving eligibility Meets all physical qualification standards imposed by regulation for drivers Lifts 60 LBs or more repetitively No CDL suspensions within 3 years except for “Failure to pay child support” No DUI in the last 7 years High school diploma or equivalent preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Trucking Driver Type: Company driver Trucking Route: Local OTR Regional Experience: Driving: 2 years (Required) License/Certification: CDL A with tanker endorsement (Required) Work Location: In person
