Tandem Dump Truck Driver (Class 1 or 3)

Job Summary We are an established excavation contractor operating in Calgary and the surrounding area. We are looking for an experienced Class 1 or 3 - Tandem Dump Truck Driver to join our team. This position is available as full-time employment with a competitive wage and benefits. We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious driver with experience hauling construction materials, navigating active construction sites, and working independently. Key Responsibilities Safely operate tandem dump trucks to haul soil, gravel, aggregate, demolition debris, and other construction materials. Transport materials between jobsites, suppliers, and disposal facilities throughout Calgary and surrounding areas. Safely maneuver and position trucks on residential and commercial construction sites. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain required documentation. Maintain trucks in clean, safe, and operational condition. Work independently while communicating effectively with supervisors, equipment operators, and other contractors. Assist with other construction-related duties as required. Follow company safety procedures and applicable commercial vehicle regulations. Qualifications & Requirements Required: Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract. Minimum 2* years of tandem dump truck driving experience*. Experience working on residential and commercial construction sites. Knowledge of commercial vehicle inspections and safe hauling practices. Valid First Aid certification. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Reliable transportation to and from work. Ability to work independently and safely in an active construction environment. Ability to perform physical duties, including lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs and climbing in and out of trucks. Additional Site Access Requirements Successful candidates must be willing to undergo pre-access drug and alcohol testing as required for safety-sensitive positions and client worksites.
