Job Summary Join our dynamic warehouse team at Morse Steel Services as a Swing Shift Truck Loader/Warehouse Associate! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading trucks, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations during the swing shift hours. Your proactive approach and attention to safety will help keep our distribution center running seamlessly, supporting timely deliveries and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in materials handling, heavy equipment operation, and warehouse logistics within a fast-paced environment. current position needed is for Swing Shift 2pm to 10:30pm with a $1.00 swing differential pay Responsibilities Load and unload trucks using forklifts, over head cranes, and other material handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Operate heavy equipment such as cranes and RF scanners to accurately pick, pack, and process orders. Assist with order picking, shipping, and receiving tasks to ensure accurate inventory management. Conduct manual handling of materials, including heavy lifting, stacking pallets, and organizing stock in designated areas. Maintain accurate records of inventory movements through RF scanners and manual logs. Support warehouse operations by performing basic math calculations for inventory counts and order quantities. Follow safety procedures diligently to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and your team. Experience Prior experience in warehouse distribution or related logistics environments is preferred. Demonstrated ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and material handling tools. Experience with order picking, shipping & receiving processes, and inventory management systems. Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and heavy equipment operation standards. Strong manual handling skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50lbs) Basic math skills for inventory counts and order calculations are essential. we will train you to get the job done in a safe and productive manner, overhead crane training and certification as well as rigging and forklift training and certification Interested candidate must be willing to become a member of Local 231 Teamsters union.
