Swing Dispatcher

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Swing Dispatcher to coordinate non-emergency patient transport services. This role involves managing daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely and efficient transportation for patients requiring non-emergency medical transportation. The Swing Dispatcher plays a vital part in maintaining smooth communication between clients, drivers, and healthcare providers to deliver reliable service. Duties Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of non-emergency patient transport vehicles to meet daily operational needs. Coordinate with drivers, healthcare facilities, and patients to confirm transportation arrangements and address any scheduling conflicts or changes. Monitor ongoing transport activities to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs, adjusting plans as necessary for unforeseen circumstances. Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, vehicle locations, and patient information in compliance with privacy regulations. Communicate effectively with team members to relay updates, resolve issues, and optimize route efficiency. Respond promptly to any emergencies or urgent requests related to scheduled transports. Ensure all transportation services adhere to safety standards and company policies. Requirements Prior experience in dispatching, transportation coordination, or a related role is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Excellent communication skills for liaising with drivers, clients, and healthcare providers. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed for shift coverage. Proficiency with dispatch software or relevant technology systems is advantageous. Knowledge of local geography and traffic patterns is beneficial. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle dynamic situations professionally.
