SURGICAL SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST - OPREATING ROOM
Southwest General Health CenterPOSITION INFORMATION Position summary: The Surgical Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for effective supply chain functions of the Surgical Services Departments. Reporting to the Surgical Services Business Manager, he / she manages the inventory by determining par levels utilizing the surgery information system and the established operating budget for each department. Responsible to ensure that timely / accurate charges are entered into Cerner System. Reviews vendor billing information to ensure pricing is consistent prior to sending to processing for payment. Provides product and logistics related information as needed to support each department. He / she also contributes to process improvement and cost containment as it pertains to Surgical Services by working closely with the Surgical Services Business Manager, Central Supply Coordinator and the Surgical Services team leaders. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred Required length and type of experience: Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Surgical Technician in the operating room Must have a background working with surgical products and equipment Experience with surgery information system software preferred Microsoft Excel experience required Required licensure, certification or registry: None Location: Southwest General · OPERATING ROOM Schedule: FULL-TIME, Days, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.; Mon-Fri Flex
