Support Administrator (Field & Fleet)
T&M SERVICESThe problem with most support roles? They're under-appreciated, repetitive, and have little room for growth. Anywhere. We don't operate like that. At T&M Services, we are a growing $10M+ commercial installation provider with over 100 field professionals across the Midwest. While our crews are out executing projects, we need an organized, computer-comfortable Field & Fleet Support Administrator in Des Moines to help automate workflows, process data heavy administrative tasks, and help enable team members. The Role (In Plain English): This is absolutely NOT a slow-paced, bureaucratic, corporate gig. Your internal customers are our Market Managers, PMs, Coordinators, and Field Leads. Your mission is simple: take field administration off their shoulders so they can focus on execution. We need a natural problem solver who thrives on variety and likes to tame chaos. You don't need to be an IT genius, but you do need to enjoy working with technology to streamline work and helping educate others to do the same. When a field lead or project manager is struggling, you are the patient, go-to person in the office who helps walk them through it so the team can get back to work. What You’ll Actually Do Keep the Fleet & Equipment Moving: Serve as our main office contact for company trucks and tools. You’ll track vehicle registrations, manage fuel cards, schedule oil changes and repairs with local shops, and book equipment rentals when field leads request them. Tame the Timecard Chaos: Handle the daily labor paperwork. You’ll gather missing punches, double-check temp agency invoices against actual field hours, track PTO updates, and make sure driver records are clean before payroll runs. Support & Train the Field on Tools: Be the friendly internal contact who helps field leads and managers learn our software apps, helping them troubleshoot simple app issues, fix missing entries, and use our tools with confidence. Invoice, Storage & Inventory Support: Help pull together job closeout files for invoicing. You'll verify pass-through charges (rentals, dumpsters, specialty materials), keep recurring storage billing records accurate, and make sure inventory numbers match physical reality. Get the Field What They Need: Process requests for safety gear, company apparel, tools, and specialty equipment, making sure items are ordered, tracked, and delivered to job sites on time. Community Impact Catalogs: Manage digital product catalogs for our non-profit community initiatives, directly connecting your daily administrative work to meaningful local projects. Why You’ll Want to Work Here Be the Go-To Resource: You get to combine practical computer skills with real human interaction, helping down-to-earth people who build real things stay organized and supported. No Corporate Stuffiness: We value common sense, patience, humility, and a good sense of humor over rigid bureaucracy and office politics. Real Career Room: The fleet, supply, and administrative systems you run today will naturally expand into full regional departments as we open new markets. Some Honest Cons The Landscape Shifts: Because we are growing, things change. If you need a completely static, predictable routine where your day is mapped out 100% in advance, this isn't it. You Have to Protect the Fort: Since you are the main anchor for the office, the rest of the team relies heavily on your consistency to keep the train on the tracks. The Multi-Hat Reality: You will be balancing entirely different tasks at once. It requires someone who can seamlessly switch gears without getting stressed out by the mix. This is a full-time position based out of our Des Moines office. Sound like the opportunity you’ve been looking for? Drop your resume. We’d love to talk
