Defense Logistics AgencyDuties Performs in-depth research and analysis of major discrepancies determined as a result of inventories, denials, letter of investigations, inventory balance and location discrepancies relevant to receipt, shipment, and storage transactions. Responsible for corrective actions to be taken in balancing records and expediting supply items requested by the customer that contribute to the improvement of DDXX stock control effectiveness. Assists in evaluating and analyzing trends of imbalance items by isolating contributing inconsistencies and verifies with historical data in DLA Distribution. Provides input to specialists required for developing solutions for correcting the imbalances and determines cause and remedial actions to preclude future occurrence. Initiates new ideas and recommends to supervisor approaches to streamline the inventory process. Documents all investigative procedures and follows up with affected areas to prevent future discrepancies. Processes and insures all transactions are incorporated into the custodial balances of material in storage for the Distribution Center. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-07 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.
