This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Learn more about this agency This job is open to The public U.S. Citizens, Nationals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. Duties Maintain hand receipts for medical and nonmedical equipment located in the hospital, outlying clinics, and services, and outlying veterinary clinics. Maintain automated Property Records for government and non-government property hand receipt holders. Enter all transactions into Defense Medical Logistics Supply Systems (DMLSS). Process appropriate paperwork for adding and deleting items from the property book as accountability changes. Maintain document registers and master card files on all non-standard numbers assigned and compiles information daily as feeder data for monthly report. Post stock record accounts, property disposal losses, lateral transfer gains and losses and inventory adjustments. Requirements Conditions of employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights. Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service which includes reviewing requirements for the purchase of medical equipment; operating electronic supply systems to order and monitor the status of medical supplies; maintaining hand receipts for government and non-government property. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. This position requires a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.
