This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Learn more about this agency This job is open to The public U.S. Citizens, Nationals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. Duties Serves as the single point of contact between the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) and the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) technical and functional support net. Oversees the daily operation of the system, performing daily systems checks, backups, and assistance with the development of management reports. Maintains the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) system, serving as the systems analyst. Implements various segments of automated supply management programs. Requirements Conditions of employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. A Personnel Security Investigation is required. This position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment. This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire). Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position. This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing. This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations. This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position. Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Basic Requirements for GS-11: Specialized Experience: one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes implementing automated medical logistics systems; resolving database issues; and developing and issuing functional manuals for use and training purposes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, and Business Administration.
