Supply Planner, Capacity & Supply
States ManufacturingPurpose Support the Capacity & Supply team in running a monthly SIOP process that aligns operations, engineering, and supply chain Turn demand, capacity, and material data into clear, usable views for leadership Key Responsibilities Capacity & Supply Planning Build and maintain the capacity vs. demand view by plant and product line Consolidate backlog, pipeline, and capacity inputs for the monthly SIOP cycle Flag gaps and risks early, and bring options to the Senior Manager for decision Track plan vs. actuals and schedule attainment; follow up on root causes Operations Integration Translate order schedules into plant-level loading, shifts, and line capacity Partner with plant teams on sequencing, bottlenecks, and late orders Engineering Integration Work with engineering on design release timing, BOM readiness, and change impacts to schedule Incorporate engineering release dates into the capacity plan Supply Chain Integration Align with procurement on long-lead components against the build schedule Monitor material risk to scheduled ship dates Analytics Maintain the SIOP data model and monthly refresh Build and update dashboards: revenue vs. capacity, open-to-sell windows, attainment Support scenario analysis (shift changes, volume swings, lead-time changes) Required Qualifications 3–5 years in supply planning, production planning, or S&OP/SIOP; ETO or engineered products a plus Strong Excel skills (SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables); BI tools a plus Working knowledge of BOMs, lead times, and capacity constraints Clear communicator who works well across functions Comfortable making progress with incomplete information Preferred Qualifications Experience with advanced planning or supply planning platforms (Kinaxis, SAP IBP, Oracle Supply Chain Planning, Blue Yonder, o9, Anaplan, or similar) Experience developing supply plans through scenario modeling, capacity balancing, and what-if analysis Familiarity with data automation, planning analytics, and SIOP process maturity initiatives APICS/ASCM certification preferred Success Measures SIOP delivered on time with an agreed supply plan Schedule attainment vs. plan Capacity and revenue forecast accuracy Fewer late orders caused by material or engineering gaps Faster monthly refresh through automation
