SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP)Duties Summary You will serve as a Supply Management Specialist in the Supply Management Department of NAVSUP FLC SD GF. Requirements Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating knowledge of supply chain management regulations, policies, and procedures concerning hazardous materials. Examples of specialized experience include most or all of the following; 1) Following inventory management policies, procedures, and techniques for determining customer requirements, stock positioning, procurement, or material disposition; 2) Utilizing knowledge of life cycle support concepts, programs, policies, and/or procedures to ensure proper supply program support; 3) Reviewing data to determine HAZMAT availability through the reuse program or initiating actions to broker excess HAZMAT; 4) Conducting hazardous material assessments and inspections; 5) Updating HAZMAT databases and forecasting assessment schedules.
