Supply Chain Technician I
Keefe Memorial HospitalPRIMARY FUNCTION The Supply Chain Technician I is responsible for supporting other Supply Chain Technicians. Duties may include, but are not limited to, receiving, labeling, assembling, storing, replenishing, restocking, distributing, sterilizing, shipping, and inventorying supplies/equipment as it relates to the Supply Chain Department scope. Complies with department and organization-wide policies, Critical Access Hospital requirements, safety and infection control, and Federal/State of Colorado regulation related to the performance of Keefe Memorial Hospital operations and requirements of the compliance program. SIGNIFICANT DUTIES Receiving Compare receivables against PO, invoice, packing slip; document all variances Inspect quality of received goods; assist returning damaged items Deliver temperature-sensitive & time-sensitive supplies promptly on day of arrival Deliver non-critical supplies to departments in a timely fashion Return all POs, invoices, packing slips, and shipping manifests with variances noted Receive products before end of day; communicate critical item deliveries with appropriate departments Inventory and Stocking Print and affix labels to patient chargeable items Provide awareness to maintain par levels of all restock items in main storeroom Restock supplies in assigned locations per set par/min-max levels (Storeroom, CSR, ERs, OR, Clinic, Office Supply Room) Promptly notify Supply Chain Coordinator of any supply needing reorder due to reduced par level Restock supplies in assigned locations per par/min-max levels (Storeroom, CSR, ERs, OR, Clinic, Office Supply Room) Expiration and Storage Assist in accurate records of inventory expiration dates and lot codes within assigned systems Keep accurate records of inventory expiration dates and lot codes within assigned systems Rotate new inventory to the back (earliest expiration to front) — first in / first out Assist in proper sterilization and management of sterile equipment Store all products within required temperature and environmental standards (manufacturer, hospital policy, accreditor standards) Facilities Keep bins and shelving units free of dust and debris GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Demonstrate commitment to the organizational mission, vision, and core values Maintain current knowledge of department and hospital operations, local and industry trends and practices, market forces and outside regulatory requirements Identify opportunities and challenges to the department’s services and apply this knowledge to develop new or enhance existing policies, procedures, systems, and services Demonstrate effective relationships with hospital staff, patients, public, outside agencies, and providers Communicate effectively verbally and in writing Maintain confidentiality of patient information Exercise professional judgment, courtesy, and professionalism in daily interactions with others Establish and maintain effective working relationships with health care team members and diverse patient populations There will be opportunities for other duties as this position may evolve and policies and training may change. QUALIFICATIONS Education and/or Experience Basic computer skillset required, including email and spreadsheets High school diploma or equivalent required Organized, detail-oriented skills required Experience in supply chain, distribution, manufacturing 1 year in healthcare required Certificates, Licensure, Registrations Valid state driver’s license and updated vehicle insurance
