Corning’s Environmental Technologies segment manufactures ceramic substrates and filter products for emissions control in mobile and stationary applications around the world. Scope Of The Role The Supply Chain Technician is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and ongoing accuracy of manufacturing data within the Infor Syteline system. This role ensures that routers, items, Bills of Materials (BOMs), work centers, and resource groups are current, aligned with approved engineering changes, and structured to support accurate planning, scheduling, and production execution across the die manufacturing operation. Key Responsibilities Review incoming service orders, assign appropriate item codes and router templates, and support timely order release and scheduling. Evaluate non-standard service requests for technical feasibility and manufacturing capability in partnership with Engineering; create router actions and document decisions. Maintain item records, BOMs, planning inputs, and production templates in Syteline to ensure accurate scheduling and production planning. Configure and update work centers, resources, and resource groups in Syteline to reflect current equipment capabilities and operational requirements. Coordinate with Operations to review and maintain controlled assumptions and system inputs within Syteline. Manage production router redlines by adding process steps and actual labor-time estimates, partnering with Manufacturing Engineering to maintain accuracy and minimize delivery impact. Create and maintain SAP router records for active Syteline items, ensuring consistent and accurate data across both systems. Skills & Competencies Diagnose and resolve discrepancies in ERP item, routing, and configuration data with minimal supervision. Effectively prioritize multiple concurrent item and router updates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Collaborate with Engineering, Planning, and Operations to validate system changes before implementation. Clearly communicate ERP system limitations, technical feasibility concerns, and recommended solutions to non-technical stakeholders. Required Qualifications And Education 1-5 years of Supply Chain experience, can include maintaining or configuring data in a manufacturing ERP system (e.g., Infor Syteline, SAP, or equivalent) Education Required: High School Diploma or higher. Demonstrated experience with manufacturing routers, BOMs, or work center data management Ability to interpret engineering change requests and translate them accurately into ERP system updates Working knowledge of production planning and scheduling concepts including lead times, capacity, and job sequencing Desired / Preferred Qualifications Direct experience with Infor Syteline (CloudSuite Industrial) Familiarity with SAP routing and production order management Experience with Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) systems Background in precision manufacturing or die manufacturing operations Experience supporting cross-system ERP data synchronization This position does not support immigration sponsorship.
