Ardent MillsThe Supply Chain System & Data Analyst serves as a technical and data subject matter expert supporting Transportation and Logistics systems, analytics, and pricing data. This role ensures effective integration, reliability, and optimization of supply chain systems while partnering closely with IT and business stakeholders to drive continuous improvement. The analyst owns freight pricing data and Transportation Management System (TMS) functionality, enabling least-cost distribution strategies and informed decision-making. This role operates as an experienced individual contributor with high technical accountability and influence across the broader Supply Chain, Sales, IT, and Operations organizations. Serve as the subject matter expert for Transportation and Logistics systems, including TMS forecasting, supply planning, and related tools. Own and manage the freight pricing database, ensuring accurate rate structures, cost buildups, and pricing inputs for commercial and operational decisions. Work closely with IT partners to design and optimize processes, leveraging technology to streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, and enhance efficiency within Transportation and Logistics. Support end-to-end IT system lifecycle activities, including planning, scoping, implementation, testing, and ongoing optimization. Act as the primary technical relationship owner with TMS vendors, ensuring effective communication, system performance, and issue resolution. Maintain and administer transportation system master data, including carriers, routes, rates, shipments, rules, and audit logic across TMS and ERP platforms. Develop and maintain analytics and data visualizations through Ardent’s enterprise data platform, PowerBI, and other information tools (i.e., Power Apps) to support cross-functional decision-making. Provide data-driven insights to support freight rate negotiations, customer pricing, freight pricing strategies, and transportation financials understanding. Support annual budgeting and planning processes by ensuring accurate volumes, rates, modes, costs, and revenue assumptions. Expand and optimize the use of established data best practices as a Data Analytics Subject Matter Expert to help drive profitability and insights across the Supply Chain organization. Identify, evaluate, and implement transportation and logistics industry trends, innovations, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and business value. Education Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent experience Experience 4 - 5 years of relevant experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong technical skills with Excel, PowerBI, and other tool sets Ability to create easy to digest data visualizations of complex information. Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills, especially under ambiguous circumstances. Ability to communicate effectively across functions and organizational levels. Strategic thinker; creative and capable, structured problem solver. Self-starter with a high degree of energy and passion; able to effectively multi-task and prioritize. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $74,600.00 - $99,444.40, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved.
