Supply Chain Support
Robert HalfWe are seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Support Specialist to support daily supply chain operations within a highly regulated environment. This position is responsible for managing purchasing activities, coordinating supplier transactions, maintaining compliance documentation, and supporting the efficient flow of materials and services. The ideal candidate will have experience with government procurement requirements, purchasing processes, and supply chain documentation standards. Key Responsibilities Own and manage purchasing activities for materials, parts, raw materials, and services. Prepare, review, and maintain compliance packages and supporting documentation required for procurement activities. Ensure purchasing activities comply with applicable FAR and DFARS regulations. Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support material availability and procurement timelines. Track purchase orders, supplier commitments, and delivery schedules to ensure continuity of operations. Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and supply chain data. Support logistics and material movement activities as needed. Utilize Excel to analyze, organize, and track procurement and supply chain information. Assist in continuous improvement efforts related to purchasing and supply chain processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, efficiency, and operational success. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree OR equivalent relevant experience. Required experience supporting military purchasing, government procurement, defense contracting, or federal acquisition environments. Experience with SAP or similar procurement/supply chain systems. Hands-on experience managing procurement documentation and compliance packages required for government purchases. Strong understanding of FAR and DFARS regulations and their application within the procurement process. Experience owning purchasing activities, including sourcing, purchase order management, supplier coordination, and procurement documentation. Experience supporting procurement of parts, raw materials, equipment, or services in a regulated environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, filtering, basic formulas, and data formatting. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring compliance and accurate recordkeeping. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or government contracting organizations. Additional logistics, supplier management, or supply chain operations experience. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate has direct experience with military purchasing or government procurement processes , understands the documentation required to support government acquisitions, and is familiar with FAR and DFARS requirements. They have managed compliance packages, owned purchasing activities, and can work effectively in a highly regulated supply chain environment while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and on-time execution.
