Position Summary The Supply Chain Specialist I is responsible for supporting order processing, inventory planning and vendor management activities to ensure product availability and efficient inventory flow. This position works closely with Purchasing, Sales, Warehouse, Accounting, and vendors to coordinate orders, monitor inventory, and resolve supply chain issues. Key Responsibilities Monitor inventory levels, sales trends, open orders, and incoming shipments to support product availability. Support forecasting and replenishment planning based on historical usage, sales trends, lead times, and business requirements. Process and maintain purchase orders, including order quantities, pricing, delivery dates, and other required information. Monitor open POs and follow up with vendors on order confirmations, production status, shipment schedules, and delivery dates. Reconcile POs against vendor invoices, receiving records, and shipment documents; identify and resolve discrepancies. Coordinate inventory allocation and transfers between warehouses based on inventory availability and business needs. Monitor potential stockouts, excess inventory, slow-moving inventory, and other inventory risks. Maintain regular communication with assigned vendors regarding orders, availability, lead times, pricing, and delivery performance. Coordinate with internal teams to communicate supply constraints, delays, shortages, and other potential issues. Prepare and maintain purchasing, inventory, and supply chain reports. Support process improvements and other supply chain projects as assigned. Qualifications 2–3 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, inventory, logistics, or a related field, depending on level. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred. Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. NetSuite experience preferred. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
