About The Role The Inventory Coordinator plays a vital role within ATS's maintenance and operations team, responsible for managing and overseeing inventory processes to ensure seamless factory operations. This role involves controlling inventory levels, processing repairs, coordinating with vendors, and supporting procurement activities. The Inventory Coordinator works closely with department managers, technicians, and suppliers to maintain accurate inventory records, minimize stock discrepancies, and optimize cost efficiency. The position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills, the ability to analyze data, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The successful candidate will contribute to the continuous improvement of inventory management systems and support the company's commitment to operational excellence. Qualifications Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or a combination of education and relevant experience. Proven ability to read and interpret instructions, correspondence, and memos; capable of effective communication in both written and verbal formats. Basic proficiency in mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and interpretation of graphs and ratios. Experience with inventory management systems and tracking programs is preferred. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Responsibilities Oversee the integrity of inventory by monitoring stock levels, processing repairs, and ensuring accurate restocking of items. Manage stock processing activities, including repairs, storage, and delivery of components to technicians for maintenance tasks. Control inventory and material procurement from vendors, ensuring adherence to departmental budgets and proposing adjustments to optimize inventory levels. Process requisitions, monitor stock status, and update inventory data within tracking systems to maintain accurate records. Conduct periodic physical inventories and participate in audits to verify inventory accuracy, working closely with accounting and auditors. Maintain and update cross-reference systems for parts to ensure optimal usage and track nonconforming items. Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to ensure inventory processes support operational needs and stay within budget constraints. Source and evaluate vendors capable of providing plant-level services, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. Follow up on overdue orders, expedite late shipments, and implement activities to reduce purchase order errors and invoice discrepancies. Participate in training programs focused on purchasing professionalism and supervisory skills to support career growth. Assist customer service and operations teams with parts transactions and system-related inquiries.
