Job Title: Supply Chain & Logistics Specialist Company: Spieth America Location: St. Johns, MI (In-Office) Job Type: Full-Time About Us: SPIETH Gymnastics, as the official equipment supplier to 12 Olympic Games and 52 World Championships, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of gymnastics and sports equipment and has been the long-standing quality leader in this market segment. The Opportunity: We are expanding our US presence and establishing a brand-new role to take total ownership of our domestic supply chain. Currently, our logistics and inventory responsibilities are split between our US and Canadian teams. We are consolidating these functions into this newly created US position. If you are a self-starter who loves building efficient processes from the ground up, fighting unexpected freight fees, and keeping a tight grip on inventory accuracy, this role was built for you. You will own the product lifecycle from international purchasing all the way to final delivery of our large, bulky sports equipment. What You’ll Do: Centralize US Operations: Take over and streamline the inventory and logistics tasks previously shared with the Canadian branch, establishing yourself as the sole US point of contact. Master Bulky Freight: Coordinate inbound international freight and outbound domestic shipments using LTL, FTL, and Parcel carriers. Freight Reconciliation: Dive deep into shipping invoices, auditing them against carrier quotes to catch and dispute overcharges, billing errors, and accessory fees. Inventory Control: Maintain strict system accuracy for our US stock, leading our semi-annual physical inventory audits and reconciling discrepancies. Purchasing & Customs Support: Issue Purchase Orders (POs) to international suppliers based on demand forecasts. Manage and file all necessary import/customs documentation (Commercial Invoices, Bills of Lading, HS codes) for incoming shipments. What We’re Looking For: Experience: 2+ years in logistics, freight coordination, or supply chain management. The "Bulky" Edge: Direct experience working with oversized, heavy, or bulky goods and a strong grasp of LTL freight classes and carrier management. Cross-Border & Customs Knowledge: Familiarity with US Customs regulations, importing goods from overseas, and managing Incoterms. Data Savvy: Strong proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) for auditing freight spend and analyzing inventory levels, along with experience using ERP/inventory systems. Mindset: A true problem-solver who enjoys working autonomously in a small-business environment and can calmly navigate a process transition. A degree from MSU’s world-renowned Supply Chain Management program is highly preferred, even for entry-level candidates. What We Offer: Salary: $58,000 - $66,000 (Commensurate with experience) Health/dental/vision benefits 19 days PTO 401k match after 1 year of service Pay: $58,000.00 - $66,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Vision insurance Experience: Supply Chain: 2 years (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Saint Johns, MI 48879 (Required) Work Location: In person
