Job Overview The Supply Chain Specialist plays a key technical role in identifying, evaluating, and qualifying suppliers and manufacturers that support Grid's product lines and manufacturing operations. This is not a purely administrative or coordination role — the individual in this position will apply real technical judgment to pre-select products and suppliers on Grid's behalf, working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales to ensure Grid has reliable, qualified sourcing options in place. This role also owns the creation and upkeep of Grid's internal product and supplier catalog, giving the Sales team a single, reliable source of truth for what Grid can offer and from whom. Key Responsibilities: Identify, evaluate, and qualify US-based suppliers and manufacturers for Grid's components, materials, and equipment needs, applying technical judgment to pre-select appropriate products and suppliers for Grid's product lines. Maintain and expand Grid's Approved Vendor List (AVL), including supplier qualification documentation and performance tracking. Create and maintain an internal-use catalog of all products and suppliers available for Grid to sell, including key specifications and lead times, and keep it updated for the Sales team. Support RFQ/RFP processes for sourcing new suppliers, including gathering technical requirements from Engineering and comparing supplier responses. Ensure supplier compliance with relevant industry standards and certifications (e.g., UL, NEMA, IEEE) applicable to Grid's electrical equipment product lines. Support vendor pricing, terms, and supply agreement negotiations. Support cost analysis and cost-reduction initiatives across the supply base, identifying opportunities to improve pricing or terms without compromising quality. Track supplier performance, lead times, and quality; flag and drive resolution of issues. Maintain supplier and product data within Grid's ERP/MRP systems, ensuring accuracy for planning and procurement purposes. Coordinate between manufacturing/production teams and suppliers to align with production schedules. Maintain accurate supply chain documentation, records, and reporting. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, sourcing, or a related technical/product role. Strong technical background — comfortable evaluating product specifications and supplier capabilities, since this role directly pre-selects products and suppliers on Grid's behalf. Direct experience with supplier qualification processes and vendor management; AVL experience preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills; comfortable coordinating across technical, sales, and manufacturing teams. Experience with US-based manufacturing supply chains. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related technical field preferred. Why Join GRID? At GRID, you're not starting from scratch — you're joining a team of experienced energy professionals who will support your success from day one. What We Offer: Build Grid's supplier base and product catalog with real ownership Work directly with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales on utility-scale and data center equipment Be part of Grid's growth in U.S.-based manufacturing Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage Paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays Life and disability insurance Retirement plan options Career development opportunities Pay: From $90,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Work Location: In person
