The Supply Chain Specialist focuses on improving the performance, efficiency, and maturity of end-to-end supply chain processes. This role supports continuous improvement, standardization, and data-driven decision-making across planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management.

 

Working closely with the National Supply Chain Manager, the role contributes to supply chain transformation initiatives, process optimization, and the deployment of best practices across GF Canada and global networks.


Key Responsibilities


Inventory and order management:

·      Support daily material and order management activities with a focus on accuracy and efficiency

·      Ensure integrity of order data and master data within ERP systems (material and supplier data)

·      Collaborate with GF plants to improve order accuracy, reduce lead times, and enhance fulfillment performance

·      Monitor vendor performance and support escalation processes when required

·      Proactively identify supply chain risks related to order execution and propose mitigation actions

 

Inventory analysis and planning

·      Analyze inventory performance and contribute to optimization of stock levels and service performance

·      Support demand and supply planning processes and improve forecast accuracy

·      Contribute to S&OP process improvement and alignment across functions

·      Develop dashboards, reports, and KPI tracking (OTIF, inventory turns, forecast accuracy, supplier performance)

·    Support initiatives related to inventory segmentation, working capital optimization, and supply chain strategy execution

 

Collaboration & Communication:

·      Work closely with warehouse, production, sales, and procurement teams to ensure smooth flow of materials and information

·      Support cross-functional alignment on planning, inventory, and operational priorities

·      Collaborate with GF global supply chain teams to implement best practices and standard processes

·      Communicate insights, risks, and performance trends to stakeholders in a clear and actionable way

 

Risk Management & Continuous Improvement:

·      Monitor supply chain performance and identify opportunities for improvement

·      Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives and process standardization efforts

·      Contribute to supply chain transformation projects (digitalization, process redesign, optimization initiatives)

·      Support data-driven decision-making through root cause analysis and corrective actions

·      Promote a culture of continuous improvement, efficiency, and operational excellence


Required Qualifications:

·      Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration or a related field.

·      Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supply chain planning or operations within an industrial or service- oriented environment.

·      SAP super user capability required

·      Experience creating reports and dashboards in BI tools

·      Very strong Microsoft Excel skills and Enterprise Resource Management software (ERP) principles

·      Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

·      Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.

·     Knowledge of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)

·      Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.

·      Strong attention to detail and focus on customer satisfaction.
