We are seeking a Procurement Specialist for GF Piping Systems Canada's and will report directly to the National Supply Chain Manager.


Summary


Reporting to the National Supply Chain Manager, the Procurement Specialist is responsible for supporting all purchasing activities for the Canadian organization. This role works closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure cost-effective sourcing, timely procurement, and reliable supply of materials.


The role focuses on supplier management, purchasing execution, ERP data accuracy, and continuous improvement of procurement processes within a manufacturing environment.

 

Responsibilities


Supplier Management

·        Monitor supplier performance (quality, delivery, service levels) and identify risks

·        Support supplier development and qualification, including sustainability considerations

·        Recommend actions to improve supplier reliability and value creation


Sourcing & Purchasing

·        Support RFQs/RFPs and supplier selection processes with internal stakeholders

·        Contribute to negotiation activities and support contract implementation

·        Issue and follow up on purchase orders and replenishment activities


ERP & Data Management

·        Maintain procurement data in ERP systems (SAP preferred), including pricing and lead times

·        Ensure accuracy and integrity of purchasing master data

·        Support reporting and basic analysis of procurement activities


Process Improvement & Logistics Support

·        Support procurement and supply chain improvement initiatives

·        Contribute to cost reduction, service level improvement, and process standardization

·        Coordinate with customs brokers and GF entities to support cross-border shipments (Canada–USA)
