Supply Chain & Production Scheduler - Corrugateed Manufacturing

Position Summary We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Supply Chain & Production Scheduler to manage roll paper inventory and coordinate production scheduling for our corrugated manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate paper roll inventory, monitoring material consumption, coordinating paper purchasing requirements, and developing efficient production schedules for the corrugator machine. The ideal candidate will have experience in corrugated manufacturing, inventory management, production planning, and supply chain coordination. Key Responsibilities 1. Roll Paper Inventory Control Manage and maintain accurate inventory records of paper rolls used in corrugated production. Monitor paper inventory by grade, basis weight, width, supplier, and quantity. Track daily paper consumption and reconcile physical inventory with system records. Establish minimum and maximum inventory levels to prevent material shortages. Monitor incoming paper deliveries and coordinate with purchasing and warehouse personnel. Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or damaged paper rolls. Perform regular physical inventory counts and investigate discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of paper waste and consumption. 2. Corrugator Production Scheduling Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules for the corrugator machine. Coordinate production orders based on customer requirements, delivery deadlines, and material availability. Optimize production sequencing to minimize paper waste, machine downtime, and unnecessary changeovers. Ensure the correct paper grades, widths, and quantities are available before scheduling production. Monitor production progress and adjust schedules according to operational requirements. Coordinate closely with production supervisors regarding machine capacity and scheduling priorities. Communicate scheduling changes and potential production delays to the appropriate departments. Maximize corrugator efficiency through effective planning and material utilization. 3. Supply Chain & Purchasing Coordination Forecast paper requirements based on production schedules and historical consumption. Coordinate with purchasing to ensure timely replenishment of roll stock. Monitor supplier lead times and pending purchase orders. Identify potential material shortages and recommend corrective actions. Maintain effective communication with suppliers, purchasing, warehouse, and production teams. Support inventory cost reduction and working capital optimization initiatives. 4. Reporting & Inventory Analysis Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports. Monitor paper consumption against production output. Analyze paper waste and inventory variances. Track production schedule performance and material availability. Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and production efficiency. Provide management with inventory projections and purchasing recommendations. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 2–3 years of experience in inventory control, supply chain, or production scheduling, preferably within the corrugated packaging industry. Knowledge of corrugator operations and paper roll specifications. Understanding of linerboard, medium, paper grades, basis weights, and roll widths. Experience coordinating production schedules in a manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems. Experience with ERP or manufacturing planning software. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment. Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate across departments. Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and meet production deadlines.
