Indiana is seeking a Purchasing/OSP Coordinator to support our Purchasing and Outside Processing (OSP) operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in purchasing, supply chain management, supplier development, and manufacturing operations while contributing to Nucor's commitment to safety, quality, and customer service. Support the Purchasing/OSP Manager in daily purchasing and outside processing activities.
Prepare weekly OSP meeting materials and maintain action item lists. Support communication between Purchasing, Production Scheduling, Shipping, Quality, Operations, and suppliers. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned.
Serve as back-up for Buyer and OSP Expeditor teammates. therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. High school diploma or equivalent One (1) year of purchasing, supply chain, or procurement experience Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, operations, or a related field Two (2) or more years of manufacturing purchasing or supply chain experience Knowledge of outside processing (OSP), supplier management, and manufacturing operations Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future.
