Your Mission Keep daily stock levels aligned with operational needs so teams never miss a beat. Continuously monitor usage, reorder triggers, and product demand signals. Build and release purchase orders that precisely match requirements and timing. Scout products and suppliers, comparing pricing and availability to find the best fit. Strengthen professional relationships with vendors and suppliers. Negotiate for value—better pricing, dependable schedules, and smart terms. Audit POs, invoices, packing slips, and receiving documents for flawless accuracy. Oversee orders from placement to delivery and resolve exceptions quickly. Team up with receiving and warehouse staff to confirm accurate deliveries. Diagnose inventory discrepancies and implement lasting fixes. Run regular counts and assist with physical inventory audits. Maintain accurate inventory data in ERP/accounting systems. Spot slow-moving, excess, damaged, or obsolete inventory and recommend action. Track inventory costs and surface opportunities to cut purchasing spend. Purchase strictly to company standards and product specifications. Keep leadership informed about shortages, purchasing concerns, and supplier issues. Organize purchasing and inventory files so they’re clear and audit-ready. Contribute to building stronger inventory controls and purchasing procedures. Uphold policy compliance and approval requirements in every purchase. Publish reports on stock status, buys, costs, and vendor performance. Support additional operational responsibilities as assigned by management. What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent required; additional study in business, supply chain, purchasing, or a related field preferred. Background in inventory management, purchasing, warehouse operations, or similar preferred. Excellent organizational discipline and time management. Uncompromising attention to detail and accuracy. Clear communicator with solid negotiation chops. Independent worker able to make sound purchasing calls. Comfort with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Familiarity with inventory, purchasing, or accounting software preferred. Analytical ability to interpret inventory and purchasing data. Capacity to juggle priorities in a fast-paced setting.
