As a Supply Chain Planning Specialist – Level 3 located in Boulder, CO, or Huntsville, AL< you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. In this job, you will: Source and procures specialized goods and services Own contractual management of the supplier Responsible for source selection from contract proposal to execution phases Coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program, and end-users Develop subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services Prepare Request for Proposal package, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes awards, and administers resulting subcontracts In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules Identify strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations Manage and leads supplier financial forecasting accuracy Other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 1 year of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance Preferred Qualifications: Familiar with FAR provisions and GSC policies and procedures Experience preparing subcontractor Request for Proposal (RFP) packages and supporting the NGC acquisition process Experience preparing and presenting briefings to leadership (internal/external) Ability to provide accurate supplier invoice and accrual forecasting Current & active DoD security clearance Curious about all the exciting developments with the Northrop Grumman Space Sector? Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
