About the role The Supply Chain Planner & Buyer makes sure every material our production needs is ordered on time, in the right amount, before we need it. Today, our purchasing is reactive. You'll build our first true supply chain planning function: turn retail and wholesale demand into a material plan, set a steady ordering rhythm across our house brands, and own the vendors who supply us. You'll work closely with our General Manager and production leads. This is a hands-on, on-site role for a planner who likes building systems from scratch. What you'll do Plan Forecast demand using historical wholesale orders Establish initial stock-up for new SKUs Turn that forecast into material needs for every product, using bills of materials Plan for all production inputs: packaging, distillate, rosin, third-party trim and flower, and other materials Set lead times, reorder points, and safety stock for each material Build and keep a regular ordering calendar so we order ahead, not in a rush Buy Place and track purchase orders from request to delivery Own vendor relationships, including pricing, terms, lead times and performance Find and qualify new vendors and backup sources for key materials Make sure cannabis inputs from other licensees come with the right paperwork and test results Build the tools Build our planning model in Excel or Google Sheets Keep inventory records accurate and reconciled with METRC Over time, assess whether an ERP or inventory system makes sense, and lead that rollout if it does Partner and report Meet weekly with the General Manager and Director of Operations to align demand, supply and production schedules Flag shortages and risks early, with options to fix them Report on inventory levels, open orders and vendor performance What you bring 5–7 years of supply chain planning, purchasing, or materials management experience Experience in a regulated manufacturing setting such as food, pharma, CPG, or cannabis Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills: lookups, pivot tables, and building forecasting models Hands-on experience with bills of materials and material requirements planning Proven vendor management and negotiation skills Highly organized, with the discipline to run a consistent ordering cadence Must be 21 or older and able to obtain an Illinois cultivation center agent ID card, which requires a background check Nice to have Cannabis industry experience or familiarity with METRC Experience selecting or implementing an ERP or inventory system APICS / ASCM certification (CPIM or CSCP) Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Application Question(s): Why are you the right fit for this position?
