Boeing Canada Operations LtdBoeing Canada Operations Ltd. is seeking a Supply Chain Operations Manager, reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Manager, working out of the Winnipeg, MB office.
The Supply Chain Operations Manager will join the Supply Chain department where they will lead the team responsible for supplier portfolio management, on-time project execution and supplier performance to Boeing airplane programs. The team assures that these suppliers are adequately staffed and have the engineering, design, qualification, and production capacity to execute on all Boeing production programs with on-time delivery to the Boeing production system while meeting all certification and quality requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages Procurement Agent employees performing activities related to committing company resources to purchase goods and services, developing supplier strategies, development of bid packages, proposal analysis, and development of contracts.
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools.
Manages, develops and motivates employees.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Winnipeg, MB location.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience with Supplier Management, Supply Chain and/or Procurement practices and processes
3+ years of experience working with and/or managing contractors, subcontractors or suppliers
Must have demonstrated leadership experience in a formal or informal setting
Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
3+ years of management experience with responsibility for direct reports
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Have completed a Boeing management or leadership program
Experience utilizing strategic decision making to drive business results
Well-developed oral and written communication skills, organizational, decision-making, analytical, strategic planning and problem-solving skills
