Supply Chain Manager – Manufacturing Operations Taylor Rig & Equipment | Lubbock, Texas We're looking for a builder, not a caretaker. Taylor Rig & Equipment is a growing manufacturer of drilling and well-service equipment. Our business is expanding, and we're looking for an experienced, hands-on Supply Chain Manager to help us build the systems and processes needed to support that growth. This is not a position where you'll inherit a perfectly organized department with established procedures and reliable data. We have challenges with inventory accuracy, purchasing execution, material planning, and process discipline. We recognize those challenges, and we're committed to fixing them. We're looking for someone who enjoys that kind of work. What You'll Be Responsible For · Lead purchasing, receiving, inventory control, and material planning. · Ensure critical materials are ordered and available when production needs them. · Establish purchasing priorities and follow through until orders are placed and delivered. · Improve inventory accuracy, organization, and accountability. · Develop and enforce practical supply chain procedures. · Improve the accuracy and usefulness of our MRP system. · Build strong supplier relationships and improve purchasing performance. · Lead a small team while remaining personally involved in daily operations. · Identify problems early, communicate them clearly, and take ownership of solutions. What We're Looking For We value demonstrated performance more than impressive titles or resumes. Our ideal candidate: · Has experience in purchasing, inventory, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment. · Has personally improved an underperforming department or process. · Understands MRP/ERP systems and how purchasing, inventory, and production work together. · Has a strong sense of urgency and follows through on commitments. · Is organized, resourceful, and comfortable establishing priorities. · Communicates problems early rather than waiting for someone to discover them. · Accepts accountability and responds to setbacks with solutions. · Can lead people while also doing the hands-on work necessary to get results. · Is comfortable working in a growing company where processes are still being developed. What You Should Know About Us We are a young manufacturing company experiencing rapid growth. Our products are complex, our customers have high expectations, and our internal systems are still developing. Some days will be challenging. Priorities can change, and not every problem has an established procedure or an obvious solution. We believe in clear expectations, personal accountability, direct communication, and continuous improvement. If you prefer an established organization with mature systems and predictable routines, this may not be the right opportunity. If you enjoy bringing order to a challenging operation and seeing the results of your work, we'd like to talk. What Success Looks Like Within your first 90 days, we expect you to understand our production requirements, establish control over critical purchasing priorities, improve visibility into material shortages, and demonstrate measurable progress in inventory accuracy and purchasing execution. You won't be expected to solve every existing problem in 90 days. You will be expected to establish priorities, take ownership, communicate clearly, and consistently move the operation forward. To Apply Submit your resume along with a brief response to the following question: Describe a manufacturing purchasing, inventory, or supply chain operation that you personally helped improve. What was wrong, what actions did you take, and what measurable results did you achieve? We are looking for specific examples of accomplishments, not general descriptions of responsibilities. Pay: From $65,000.00 per year Benefits: 401…
