Role Summary At Hatcheri Foods, we have built a portfolio of exceptional food brands. One of our brands, Sonoma Specialty Foods, is a growing private-label and co-manufacturing business seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join its team. This role will work within the operations team and will report to the General Manager. This position will have some oversight with production, procurement and customer service and will also have a role within the R&D/Innovation team. This position will reside in Sonoma, California . KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Service Serve as the primary point of contact for customers for production planning, compliance documentation, new product development trials, and issue resolution Collaborate with the sales director to deliver successful onboarding, account set-up, compliance, and customer specific requirements Manage customer portals for existing clients (communications, upload documents (quality, certifications, insurance, ERP information, etc.) Consolidate client requests into actionable items for the procurement, quality, production, facilities, and administration teams Find solutions for clients w/scheduling conflicts, shipping/logistics & other supply chain issues Operations Lead production continuous improvement and monitor/maintain production metrics Calculate production costs for existing products, new products, and new equipment utilization Manage label logistics for client labels (along with quality and purchasing) Organize and maintain the business formula records and documentation Ensure that warehouse operations are aligned with the goals of the business Optimize warehouse space utilization and resolve storage issues Product development, Innovation, and R&D Lead new product and new packaging projects by collaborating with sales, purchasing, quality, production and facilities teams Manage and prioritize all R&D projects and timelines with R&D Manager Collaborate with new and existing clients to facilitate basic product development (benchtop trials, production validation trials, and batch size calculations) Lead the integration of purchasing, production, quality, and R&D for new product launches QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in business, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related 5 to 7 years production/operations management experience in food manufacturing or related sector 3+ years of leadership experience in food manufacturing required Essential Skills Strong business acumen Excellent communication with the ability to communicate at all levels Experienced at developing/managing a team, and skilled at working cross-functionally to achieve successful outcomes. Strong quantitative skills with the ability to develop and maintain tools for creating and analyzing formulas, production planning, and material needs Knowledge of food safety, allergen management, and relevant standards preferred Strong computer skills including MS office, with advanced Excel skills Compensation and Benefits We offer competive compensation and benefits programs, including bonuses, Medical and Dental Insurance and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
